“Helping hurting children…healing broken families.”
Eagle Oaks, a ministry of Baptist Children’s Homes
of North Carolina, provides long-term residential care
and opportunities for adult women with developmental
disabilities. The ministry helps women achieve goals
and reach their highest level of independence in a
community-based, gender-specific group home. The home
is the culmination of a dream shared by a group of
Randolph County residents who envisioned building this
type of facility for years.
It is located at 1308 Old Cox Road in Asheboro, North
Carolina and serves as a compliment to the Cross Road
Retirement Community. The facility is owned by the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and
Baptist Children’s Homes provides the services and the
staff members for as many as six residents.
